Ocean Export, Document Processing Agent
To process
ocean export shipments in cooperation with customer service group with high
accuracy using proprietary forwarding systems to ensure operational excellence
and high productivity.
• Review documentation with Shipper's Letter of Instruction (SLI) and/or Letter
of Credit for accuracy of:
o shipper / consignee / marks and numbers;
o Calculations of weight, volume, dimensions, inland freight charges, goods
description, clauses and delivery terms. Ensure Third Party documents for
accuracy.
• Communicate with Customer Service group for any requirements and/or
exceptions found in freight instructions/documents.
• Prepare and issue documentation by:
o Entering shipment information.
o Submitting AES transmission.
o Print and send shipment documents (scan if
necessary) and freight invoice;
o Issuing (if required) Commercial Invoice, Certificate of Origin, Insurance
Certificate and any other documents.
o Arranging for legalization of documents (if
necessary).
o Arranging for inspection (if necessary).
• Update Track and Trace.
• Distribute documents and make copies in accordance with shipper's, TLG’s and/or
destination country requirements.
• Ensure that payable and receivable documents are completed accurately and
forwarded on time.
• Assure that file contains all necessary document copies in proper sequence
• Trace shipment through all transit points up to final destination (where
applicable) and advise clients and managers of any irregularities.
• Ensure highest level of data quality by processing the shipment accurately.
• Other duties as requested.
• Ability to effectively multi-task.
• Basic Freight Forwarding knowledge of ocean export.
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent application skills and competence.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment.
• Team player.
